Roots & Rye

Roots and Rye is a culinary concept that merges seasonal American cuisine with whisky and spirits. Our design uses comb-like open cedar framing structure as a means to contain and delineate an otherwise vast and sprawling interior. The framing offers a moody and rhythmic pattern to the naturally dark space, which extends to the outdoor dining area. The large cast-in-place concrete bar and backlit bottle shelf rise from a sea of herringbone patterned concrete tiles. We designed rich and luxurious tufted green leather lounge seating as a familiar compliment to the otherwise abstracted interior.
