Presidio Bench

We were commissioned to design a large public bench within the National Park of the Presidio of San Francisco.  Our concept was to create an oversized angular object to be used in a variety of seated and standing positions.  Assembled from massive slabs of sustainably-harvested California walnut, the bench radiates a primordial energy as the slabs slowly dehydrate and deform to their natural internal structure.
